Update soon!


Hey, everyone! It's been a while, huh? Like, six months, as usual, for us. Fun. Legit sorry about that. BUT! I come with good news! Not as good as "the new update is ready", but good overall! We mentioned we were working on a middle update that would fix several typos and sprite mistakes, and that's almost done! We'll upload it in a few days, because, if it all goes well, it will come with a German translation up to Day 6 too!

So, what are the changes for this middle update?

  • The biggest thing is the change of fifteen days to ten days in game. Dialogues haven't changed a lot regarding this, but they have been changed so everyone that plays now knows the vacations have been "shortened". I mentioned this before, but it's been a while since the last time, so it's worth repeating. The game will have ten days in order to not artificially prolongue it, since I feel like doing the original fifteen day plan wouldn't feel as natural anymore. This is because of my writing style that's been evolving over time and the situatons  that have been happening more naturally sooner than later (an example for this, the conversation that Robert and Edward have on the beach with Gus was supposed to happen on Day 7, but felt way more natural to have it when it happens now). Ultimately, no content should be lost, it'll just be more compacted ^^
  • We've added a change to most of the scenes that involves phone messages, voice messages or calls where the screen will split, showing both people talking or texting in their respective backgrounds. We hope you all enjoy this change, since we feel it improves those scenes a lot.
  • We've been working hard fixing most of the grammar and sprite mistakes that we and all of you have found over time, so it'll be a smoother experience to play throughout.
  • There's been more enviromental audios to play to (hopefully) add more immersion, and there's a new theme that plays when Robert dreams. On a similar note, some sprites have been adjusted, especially during the first two Days, so they show the newer sprites too, not only the older ones.

It doesn't feel like much, but it has been some work that we needed to do before continuing, and that mixed with real life stuff has taken way longer than we thought it would. It might not be enough changes to make a full replay worth, but it'll make them as enjoyable as possible, and I believe that's important ^^

Then... How is Day 7 going?

Pretty good, all things considered! The script has been finished a few months ago, we just have to code it and finish the CGs involving said day. And, in that sense, I have a small surprise, someone that decided to help me out with the process, hopefully speeding it up enough to make Day 7 possible in WAY less time than usual. I'll give you more information about it soon~

All in all, apologies for the complete silence, these months have probably been my busiest so far, and I'm still not done, but Cor is still going! We REALLY appreciate the patience, and we hope it'll be worth it once we deliver it!

Also, IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: I WILL NOT CHARGE PEOPLE MONEY IN PATREON FOR THIS MIDDLE UPDATE. It has been A LOT of work, but I don't feel like it's right to charge people that have been supporting us so far and already played the experience so far for something that, while improved, is still the same. So don't worry about that in that aspect ^^
